Welcome to the Official website of the
Indianapolis Firefighters Emerald Society
Our Indianapolis chapter, established in 1994, is comprised of firefighters from the Indianapolis Metropolitan area. Although the Society was originally established by Professional firefighters of Irish heritage, today the Emerald Society membership is open to all firefighters regardless of family lineage or gender. Chapters exist in many large fire departments with the intent to promote goodwill and comaraderie among it's members.

We are currently 334 members strong and are always looking for new members to join our brotherhood. If you think you might be interested, come and bring a friend to any of our Regular Business meeting's posted on our on line calendar or just print the Application from this website and mail it in.

Our next regular business meeting
"First Thursday of each month"
April 1st, B Shift
Old Fire Station 12
339 N. Sherman Drive
7:00pm

We are excited to share information about our chapter and it's causes. The information on this website will be viewed and updated daily or as needed. We hope that you continue to visit and plan to attend some of the events we are involved in. Please visit our sister website of the Indianapolis Firefighters Emerald Society Pipes & Drums.

Please Read
Please be it known that if you will be driving anywhere in Indianapolis on St Patricks Day, the Indianapolis Police Department has already announced both on TV and radio that they will be out in force having Road Blocks set up around the city. Please think before you get behind the wheel and have a designated driver or call a cab for $20. We want everyone to have a great St Pattys Day this year but be responsible and "Do the right thing".
Thank's In Advance

An Irish Blessing

(A Blessing from St. Patrick)
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind always be at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
